New Adult Sunday School Class

A new Adult Sunday School class,  Miracles of Christ, extends from December 4 through February 26.  The purpose of this study is to give the participant a greater insight into, and understanding of, the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ through an examination of His miracles.  Co-teachers are Clint Kelly and Fred Zoeller.  It all begins at 9:30 a.m. with a cup of coffee.

Pioneer Club

Our Children's Bible Club is offered 6:00-7:00 pm every Sunday Evening during the evening adult Bible Study.  For K-5 through 5th Grade, Pioneer Club includes crafts, Bible Lessons, snacks, games, a mission project outreach and lots of fun with other children.  Kids, if you enjoyed Summer Seaquest, you'll love Pioneer Club!


Salt of the Earth

Every Tuesday at noon Westminster partners with Salt of the Earth food bank to provide a hot meal to anyone in our community who  would like to stop in and sample the cooking.  Would you like to help prepare food, cleanup, or simply sit down and enjoy a meal with everyone else? 

Mosaic Church

As guests of Westminster, this congregation worships in our facility every Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in our Multi-purpose Room.  Matt Lybarger is Mosaic's pastor.  Mosaic and Westminster regularly enjoy a Worship Service together, including the Lord's Supper.  



Leadership Praise and Planning Report

On January 13, 2012, the Leadership of Westminster met at Hunan Palace for our annual Praise and Planning Retreat.  After dinner and a time of Devotion and Prayer, we sought to evaluate the year and plan for the future.

The Deacons praise the Lord...
-  for the Provision of adequate funding
-  for a New Boiler
-  that Painting projects continue inside & outside
-  that Water supply & Floor repairs are complete
-  that the Deacons Fund and Breadroom are well-utilized
-  that Pioneer Club is restarted
-  that we have acquired a Building Inspector “knock-list”
-  for a stabile and dedicated Pastor
-  for an Increase in the number of Elders

The Elders praise the Lord...
-  for Positive Worship changes:  more frequent communion, the use of new music, lay participation, bulletin variety, and confession and assurance in our liturgy.
-  that with an Aging Congregation, we have a Balanced Ministry, both to the needs of age, and in sparking New Dynamics between the old and the young
-  for renewing our Pioneer Club and Children’s Sunday School 
-  that the Pastor is focusing on visitation
-  that our Men’s Fellowship is active
-  that, motivated by a shrinking congregation, we are focusing on Evangelism, and on Reviewing our Priorities. 
-  for continuing, careful efforts to Improve our ministry
